Guerilla art is a fun and insidious way of sharing your vision with the world. It is a method of art making which entails leaving anonymous art pieces in public places. It can be done for a variety of reasons, to make a statement, to share your ideas....My current fascination with it stems from a belief in the importance of making art without attachment to the outcome. To do something that has nothing to do with making money, or listening to the ego. Here are just a few pictures. I so hope the mass of snow we just got didn't cover them up or ruin them. Also posted this for this week's inspiremethursday.com theme "leaving your comfort zone" . This defiantly did that!
Twas fun.

What a great idea! :)
LOVE it. I hope I see one around the 'hood. It would definitely make me smile. It's really amazing how such a small thing, like a positive message, can affect my mood and outlook. My favorite: "you are sunshine on a stick."

Brilliant! What a delightful way to push your boundaries and reshape the world (at least a little). I'm sure your work did a lot to improve the days of the people who were lucky enough to find these pieces along the way to work, school store, wherever.

I am so glad I at least saw them this way - but gosh! would it make my day to see them in person - come across the corner, or off the el, and WHAM! SUNSHINE ON A STICK!
Thanks for the great idea. I am committed to making a small, suprise difference in someone today.
Oh my goodness you brought such a grin to my face. I can't imagine what it would be like to just stumble upon one.
Now, if only we can do this in Singapore!!!
Wow thanks all for the mad props. I appreciate it.
And Anj - so glad you said hi, being I stalk your blog. You could do this by leaving little paper notes! :)
You go! That takes some courage to run around nailing art to trees. I know if I came across one of your messages, I'd be smiling all day:> In fact, I think I'm set to smile all day just having read this. Thank you:>
