Today's the day of silence...

And the blogger Anj deleted her entire blog. I emailed to ask her if she did it to observe the day of silence or not. That would be pretty good if she did, but I don't think so. I think it's something else.

There have been multiple bloggers in the last month who have put up notice that they have stopped blogging. Not sure why this unnerves me a bit, but it does.

If I hadn't been able to read blogs of gay christians and blog my own story I do not know where I would be right now. I needed blogs and blogging to cope to find other people's stories of how they came out, or lived as both gay and christian. I'm very very grieved by the bloggers who used to blog, but have stopped. And even some of the other blogs I used to watch and comment on are now silent. Has everyone moved to mirco-blogging of twitter and facebook? I say things here I would never say there.

Damn silence! I will miss these bloggers...and all the ones that died before them! If people don't tell the stories of their existence where do those like me who come behind have to find community like us?
The "day of silence" is about being silent to protest violence against glbt people and all people really. To protest how their voices go silent. See previous post. No idea how I will or if I will do it at work... I probably won't. Mostly I just want to blog to recognize the existence of the day.
