I just found a "happy note"

Last night I was crazy busy. I had just worked out and raced home in order to find some allergy medicine before I went to "integrate" group where there is a cat.

My friend Em often teases me because I don't fully finish a box of something I just keep it, forget I have it, and buy a new box. This may have been a good quirk to post the other day. Anyway, I was looking for non-drowsy allergy medicine. I don't use it very much. I couldn't find the non-drowsy stuff so I wondered if I had ever accidentally combined boxes so I looked in them. AND behold, there in one of the older boxes (which I should throw away because it's so old) I found a happy note. It said:
This is the last note, but I'm sure our friendship will continue to hold many more surprises.
If you are wondering what a happy note is, it's like happy guerrilla art except it's on tiny pieces of paper put in hidden places in one's house. Em hid these notes all over years ago (a minimum of three). She had keys so came in one day when I was out. It was such a wonderfully fun thing. I found most of them in the first few weeks of her hiding them.

I thought it was funny/ironic to find this particular one last because when she hid those notes those years ago I certainly wouldn't have been able to imagine coming out. I called her immediately and it was a super fun quick gushing check in. I said, "Little did we know what surprises you were talking about." She thought it was funny. It made me miss her quite a bit!

My best friend did the same thing, last year she was away overseas in the Philippines and I found a 'happy' note that she had left behind. It was and still is a most wonderful gesture to receive.

Nope no major rules. It usually is like a treasure hunt. Em left about 20 all over. And you hide them in stuff the person would use. It's particularly funny when you put them in things like the egg carton or tampon box or something. :) And you can either tell them they are they or even more fun, don't tell them. It's good for when you go away on a trip and leave them behind.
