Posting from youtube...

So this is a youtube video they played in church on Christmas. Cute kid but would someone tell me why this type of thing feels like it comes in the back door emotionally? I don't know how to expain it. I went to the 9th of 18 services at Woodlands Community Church (Woodlands, Texas). The service was very professionally done. There were a few more than average phrases that are christanize. Not the overly used "Jesus is the reason for the season" phrase, but that type of phrase. When I have more time and am not using youtube to post on my blog I will write more about the experience.

My parents arrive today. So far there have been no conversations about me... which is just fine for now. Merry Christmas all...

I could only watch/listen to about half of it.
This why I lurk on your blog (sorry) so often I hear my reactions or thoughts in the things you write.
Thanks for sharing - Here's to a new year!

Awe, .... I have a slightly different take on this. This child is precious and I just think it's amazing that such a young kid has such strong faith. I enjoyed watching---well----listening to this video.

I'm sure they did it with good intentions, your church, you know?

Hope you had a beautiful holiday season!

chicagopioneergal - love that you have de-lurked...

deb - yes it's totally cute and precious AND generally I am not saying anything about the kid, but the way sometimes emotional videos are used in church. I just find it tricky.
