I love living in a world where....

Another blogger I'm a huge fan of who (I have mentioned before) did this on her blog and I thought it was such a fun prompt that I'm trying it as well. Although hers was funny.

Do play along. I love living in a world where:

ME:
- I can smell like a pink grapefruit (thanks to bath and body works!)
- IM exists! How does that work? It's totally magic. (skype)
- People use the word permagrin. (I had never heard that word used before). Perma-grinning is really great. ;)

In other news, today I helped pull a girl back from getting hit by a train gate that was coming down on her head. She was talking on her cell. I also overslept accidentally this a.m. so I had to get ready in about 10 minutes. Now after a rousing class of talking about family systems and triangulation in relationships and I am finally at work!

Green Sea Turtles glide through pristine blue waters (they're thought to be extinct in less than ten years! let's save them! When i was in Kauai a little boy found a dead one on the beach. I took some one and a little bit of shell from what was left of the corpse - I will show it to Zoe one day and talk about that beautiful creature and how we've failed at being stewards of the earth and why we must be better.)

The children in my local community set out on an effort to restore the habitat of the endangered Fresh Water Shrimp and were successful! (They're no longer endangered and people didn't think it could be done! Experts speculated that the time it would take to restore the habitat exceeded the time in which the shrimp would wholly die off. They were wrong! The kids were right for trying!)

My neighbor's chat with me over my garden gate.

Woh. Green Sea Turtles... how lovely. I bet somehow this could turn into a children's book.

i can walk down the street with Antony (of Antony and the Johnsons) crooning "Cripple and the Starfish" in my ears while the world around me is safe and protected from such terrifyingly beautiful things.
