Inspire me Thursday - DNA

This week I found the inspiremethursday.com prompt a little tricky. The prompt was DNA. It was something I wasn't sure how to paint and no poem came to me so I just did some random adobe photoshop work. The line down the mosaic representation of a DNA double helix says "Is there a DNA of life or of love? Is it so small we cannot see it? Is it a building block? Do I have all the building blocks I need? Where do I buy them?" I think if you click on the image you can see a bigger version. I don't love it but it it will have to do.

Wow. Very meaningful. This entire piece spews "love". It's everywhere my eye floats to.

Great stuff!

I love what you did with the DNA idea. Thank you for commenting on my first Inspire Me Thursday attempt...I loved what you read into my picture, especially the part about my picture being in only one color while my poem was about rainbows. I guess it shows that all those colors are still trapped in my heart...hopefully they'll slowly come out! I enjoyed reading your profile -- have a great day~~

What a clever approach! Love it! Your DNA questions have given me a lot to think about as well.

You need to re-think the 'not loving it'...as it is an amazing piece of work! I can see it as a ten foot mosaic; shimmering from direct down lighting... in the lobby of a building in NY or San Francisco or Chicago or Austin!

I think you did a great job. I am trying to work on adobe photoshop but it gets to me, so much to learn. I just read your whole blog and liked it. Keep the faith.

This is so cool! It looks ALIVE to me...like tiny fairies or butterflies dancing in unison...like synchronized swimmers!...each one intrinsically staying within their orbit, thus maintainig the integrity of the DNA. How beautiful!

re: not loving it - I was gonna pass on the dna challenge altogether, then decided to have a look what you've been posting lately, and your take on the theme inspired my piece.
do you love it a little bit more now?
