Productive Day

I have been asking people lately what they are proud of themselves for. Like if they were their parent, what would they be proud of themselves for. I've gotten some interesting responses from the two people I asked.

Today, I am proud of the fact that I worked out first thing in the morning, did my taxes (finally!), took the rest of my year's recycling into the recycling center (which now completes all my new years resolutions), did some cleaning, got some (but not all) of my homework done. And to add to this goodness of taking in my recycling I'm participating in earth hour tonight at 8:00 p.m. where everyone is supposed to turn out their lights.

But first, I'm going to go to a pampered chef party. I know, don't you want to revoke my lesbian card? It's the second one I've been to in a month. I'm trying to help out a friends sister (sister in law?) by going. Still, don't knock it, because wouldn't you want a girlfriend (or any friend for that matter) who wanted to cook for you?

And speaking of cooking. Lo is coming in two weeks. We shall have to cook up some kindof something. Um. What? I'm talking about food people!

Wow! You got a lot done today! Good for you!!

I cut the grass before noon, and before it started to rain, so I'm glad that I didn't put it off and miss the opportunity (like I usually do :).

And my partner, Jane, loves to cook, and she's very good at it. I feel very fortunate in many ways to have her in my life, but this aspect is one of my favorite. I hate to cook!!

Today I'm proud of the fact that I'm sticking to my commitment and remaining in relationship with my partner, even though I don't feel like it.

Yikes! Why don't people ever speak of relationships in these terms! FreyaSings
