The Inspire me Thursday challenge this week is to make an artist trading card. This is one I made in photoshop and then I would color print it on card stock. I would like to also try it with materials I am just not sure how. Perhaps if I sewed I could sew it. For now thought I seem to be enamored with this flower and unique flowers in general. :) This made for a fun art/poetry combo.

what I would do is get some navy or dark blue canvas, get some red, yellow, and white embroidery thread and hand stitch the flowers
then i would iron on the words to a fabric and sew that on top and maybe you could get those white and lighter blue colors with some paint or something you could get some paint speckels on it before you did the other stitching that would look really cool. -Sarah

That's beautiful. It reminds me of my friend Cookie's work (dadanation.) I have some of his artwork - he usually creates in mixed media - everything from photographs (which are often the basis for his creations) to (and on) canvass, paint, colored pencils, beads, glue, everything you can imagine. I have one of his pieces sitting here next to me - very three dimensional. If/when you come to visit you'll have to see his work - I think it would inspire you with ideas about how you might go about creating that piece in other media. Very beautiful! - Zuzu
